I don’t quite understand what it is about the end of the summer that gets me so excited. Is it the change in temperature and the promise of Halloween and Christmas or is it a return to routine as the children go back to school? Could it be the pickling I’ve fallen into in the last few years or the harvesting of vegetables from our small hobby garden? I wonder if maybe it’s the back to school shopping or the cleaning out of cupboards. No matter what causes the excitement, I love this time year because it always spawns a new book idea. Now don’t get me wrong, I have several ideas waiting in the queue for attention. The third book in the Angels of the Night series is about 3/4 of the way complete and I can almost hear Allison, Darcy and Jonas yelling at me to complete their story. I have just submitted a new book and received a contract for publication that I need to read over. That different series is also demanding a sequel now. And on top of those two ideas, I have another story that completely deviates from the paranormal stories I’ve currently written. So I ask you, amid all the activity at this time of year and the ideas flying around, where am I going to find time to write? There just aren’t enough hours in a day!
